What to Include in Your Asking Price

A wellโ€‘supported Asking Price attracts serious buyers and reduces lowโ€‘quality offers.

When setting your price on page two of the form, use these valuation anchors:

  • Use Standard Multiples: Most valuations are based on a multiple of SDE (Sellerโ€™s Discretionary Earnings) or Monthly Profit (e.g., โ€œ3ร— Annual SDEโ€).
  • Signal Your Logic: In your public description, briefly explain the rationale behind your number (e.g., โ€œPrice reflects 20% YoY growth and $50k in proprietary hardware assetsโ€).
  • Public vs. Private: Avoid sharing a detailed financial breakdown in the public teaser. Simply reference the primary multiple used.
  • Signal Flexibility: If youโ€™re open to negotiation or earnโ€‘outs, use phrasing like โ€œAsking price is $X, open to structured offers for the right partner.โ€
