Create an Opportunities Listing

Overview #

The Opportunities category within the Influencer Venture Marketplace is the flexible, projectโ€‘based space for collaboration. Itโ€™s designed for creators, brands, and founders who need partners for specific, timeโ€‘bound initiatives such as events, content partnerships, beta testing, or advisory rolesโ€”rather than longโ€‘term employment.

๐Ÿ”„ One Account, Many Roles: Any member can post an Opportunity. An Expert might seek beta testers for a new tool, while a Creator might look for a brand partner for an upcoming event.

Step 1 โ€” Basic Information (The Hook) #

The first page of the form builds your Opportunities Card. Because this category covers many types of collaborations, your title and teaser should be highly specific.

  • Company or Project Name: The entity or initiative behind the opportunity.
  • Listing Title: Clearly state the action (e.g., โ€œGuest Speaker for AI Summitโ€, โ€œBeta Testers for Fintech Appโ€).
  • Listing Teaser: A oneโ€‘sentence summary of the value for the collaborator.
  • Logo or Image: Use an image that represents the project or event to help your card stand out.
  • Industry & Location: Important for filtering, especially for locationโ€‘dependent events or industryโ€‘specific work.

Step 2 โ€” Your Narrative (The Description) #

Your description should define the scope of work so collaborators know exactly what to expect. Above this field, youโ€™ll see guidance tailored to Opportunities listings.

  • Project Overview: What is the goal of this initiative?
  • Collaboration Scope: What will the collaborator actually do? Outline responsibilities clearly.
  • Skill Requirements: What expertise or capabilities are needed?
  • Eligibility: Any prerequisites? (e.g., โ€œMust have 10k+ followersโ€, โ€œMust be based in Europeโ€).

๐Ÿ’ก Proโ€‘Tip: Specific eligibility criteria reduce unqualified inquiries and help you connect with the right collaborators faster.

Step 3 โ€” Opportunity Details & Duration #

The second page uses structured fields to categorize your project and set expectations around time commitment.

  • Opportunity Category: Choose the primary category (e.g., Events, Sponsorship, Advisory).
  • Subcategories: After selecting a category, choose the related subcategories to refine your listing.
  • Duration: Enter a number and unit (e.g., 3 weeks, 10 hours). This helps collaborators assess availability.

How Your Listing Appears #

1. On the Marketplace Page

Your Opportunities Card displays your image, title, teaser, and Opportunity Category, helping users quickly distinguish between different types of collaborations.

2. On the Full Listing Page

This page provides the complete overview of your project and includes:

  • The Action Button: Request More Info, which opens a message form where collaborators can specify their intent (e.g., โ€œIโ€™m interested in joiningโ€, โ€œI have relevant skillsโ€).
  • Logistics: Category, subcategories, and the listed Duration.
  • About the Author: A section linking back to your profile so collaborators can review your Snapshot and network.

Best Practices for Success #

  1. Define the Winโ€‘Win: Clearly state what the collaborator receives (e.g., exposure, commission, access, networking).
  2. Be Accurate With Duration: Set realistic expectations to avoid misalignment later.
  3. Update Frequently: If the project scope changes, update your listing to keep inquiries relevant.
