Overview #
Your profile is your professional identity within the Influencer Venture Marketplace. Itโs more than a bioโitโs a dynamic resume and discovery tool that shapes how others find you, understand your background, and collaborate with you. This guide explains the six profile types, the specialized Snapshots they unlock, and how they influence your visibility across the platform.
๐ One Account, Many Roles: Your Profile Type defines your primary identity, but it does not limit your activity. Every member can post listings across all Marketplace categories (Jobs, PitchDeal, ExitHub, Services, Opportunities, FounderMatch).
Understanding the Six Profile Types #
Your profile type determines which Specialized Snapshots (structured data fields) you can complete. These Snapshots highlight the metrics and professional details most relevant to your role.
| Profile Type | Primary Focus | Unlocks These Snapshots |
|---|---|---|
| Creator | Influencers & publicโfacing personalities | Creator Snapshot, Entrepreneur Snapshot |
| Entrepreneur | Founders, builders & operators | Entrepreneur Snapshot, Creator Snapshot |
| Investor | Angels, VCs & investment professionals | Investor Snapshot, Venture Focus, Portfolio Companies |
| Expert | Specialists, consultants & service providers | Expert Snapshot |
| Venture Scout | Talent sourcers & opportunity finders | Venture Scout Snapshot |
| Entity | Companies, brands, studios & agencies | Entity Snapshot |
How Profile Types Work #
Your profile type is selected during registration and acts as your โcategoryโ in the Member Directory.
- Customized Fields: Each type unlocks unique data points (e.g., Investors see โCheck Size,โ Creators see โAudience Demographicsโ).
- Profile Tag: A badge in your header identifies your role at a glance.
- Switching Types: If your focus changes, you can submit a request to update your profile type.
- Snapshot Visibility: Switching types hides your previous Snapshots and unlocks new ones.
- Exception โ Creator โ Entrepreneur: These two types are DualโAccess. Switching between them only changes your tag; both Snapshots remain available.
Anatomy of a Profile Header #
Your header functions as your digital business card. All profile types (except Entities) display:
- Profile Photo & Cover Photo
- Headline (your 160โcharacter elevator pitch)
- Location (country)
- Website
- Social Media Icons (up to 6)
- Languages Spoken (up to 3; not shown for Entity profiles)
- Follower & Following Counts
- Profile Type Tag
All fieldsโexcept your profile typeโcan be edited at any time.
Specialized Sections (Snapshots) #
Below your header, your profile includes two types of content:
- Overview: Your main โAboutโ section, visible to everyone once completed.
- Snapshots: Structured data blocks tied to your profile type (e.g., Creator Snapshot, Investor Snapshot, Venture Focus). These appear only if you fill them out.
Public View:
Other members see your Header, Overview, and any completed Snapshots.
Private View:
You see additional editable fieldsets:
- Social Media: Platform names + full URLs
- Profile Details: Headline, Website, Location, Languages
- Account Setup: First Name, Last Name, Nickname
These management fields are visible only to you.
The Profile Completion Widget #
When viewing your own profile, a Profile Completion Widget appears in the sidebar until all required sections are filled out. Completing your profile improves:
- Search visibility
- Credibility
- Match quality across the Marketplace
